Nature of the service
PDFre is a focused browser-based toolkit for everyday PDF work, including page organization, conversion, markup, metadata editing, and document protection workflows.
The service is intended to be a direct and practical tool for specific tasks, not a full publishing system, a document-management platform, or an all-purpose editor for every possible use case.
PDFre is provided free of charge as of the publication date of the current version of these Terms, unless a specific page expressly states otherwise.
Permitted use
PDFre may be used only for lawful, legitimate, and non-deceptive purposes.
You may work only with files that you have the legal right to upload, view, edit, convert, protect, unlock, copy, distribute, or otherwise process.
You must not use the service to violate the law, circumvent the rights of third parties, remove protection without lawful authority, conceal abuse, distribute harmful content, interfere with website operation, or engage in any other improper conduct.
Your files and your responsibility
You are solely responsible for the lawful origin of the files you use, the legality of processing them, and compliance with any obligations owed to employers, clients, counterparties, archives, courts, public authorities, or other relevant persons or institutions.
You are also solely responsible for document contents, backup copies, selection of the appropriate tool, and verification that the resulting output is suitable for your intended purpose.
If a document contains sensitive information, trade secrets, personal data, financial information, internal corporate materials, or other protected content, you alone must decide whether the workflow is appropriate for that material and whether you trust your local execution environment.
Local processing and technical limitations
The ordinary published PDFre tools are designed so that core processing takes place in the user's browser where that is technically feasible and appropriate.
Processing speed, support for specific workflows, export behavior, handling of large files, output quality, and availability of particular functions depend on the browser, device, operating system, available memory, file complexity, and other conditions of the execution environment.
PDFre does not promise that every PDF file, every password scenario, every document structure, every non-standard font, every embedded structure, or every edge case will be processed without error, at the same speed, or with the same quality in every environment.
Export, transfer, and downstream use
Once you copy, download, export, transmit, or publish a resulting file, responsibility for its further storage, review, transfer, archiving, and use rests entirely with you.
Before sending, relying on, printing, archiving, publishing, or otherwise using any resulting document in an important context, you should independently verify the final file.
PDFre is designed to help users complete practical PDF tasks efficiently, but it does not replace internal review procedures, organizational requirements, professional quality control, or specialized document-management systems.
Disclaimer of warranties
PDFre is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free performance, universal support for all PDF files, preservation of all formatting, full compatibility with all browsers and devices, or suitability of any output for a user's specific purpose.
PDFre likewise does not warrant suitability for complex publishing preparation, deep layout editing, optical character recognition, court archiving workflows, notarial procedures, or any other use case that requires a heavier specialized system.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sergey Solod shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, or similar damages, or for any loss of data, profit, revenue, goodwill, deadlines, documents, or other tangible or intangible losses arising out of or relating to the use of PDFre, the inability to use PDFre, browser limitations, unsupported files, absence of backup copies, or insufficient verification of the resulting output.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability to the extent that such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Intellectual property
All rights in and to PDFre, including its software, site structure, design, text, branding, tool-page logic, and related materials, belong to Sergey Solod or the relevant rights holders unless expressly stated otherwise.
Users are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose in accordance with these Terms.
Changes to the service and to these Terms
PDFre may at any time update, improve, limit, suspend, or discontinue individual tools, pages, guides, or other functionality.
These Terms may likewise be updated from time to time as the product, technical architecture, legal requirements, and operational workflows evolve.
If a user continues to use PDFre after an updated version of these Terms has been published, that continued use constitutes acceptance of the current version to the extent permitted by applicable law.
